OUR MISSION
The Coopah Refugee run club
The Coopah Refugee Run Club is an inspirational run coaching programme. We work with a range of refugee charities to help refugees integrate into society. The Run Club exists to help inspire people to start running.
INSPIRE 10 MILLION RUNNERS
We believe that running can help change lives; it can give people purpose, improve their physical health and importantly refocus them mentally. Coopah are proud to partner with a range of charities to allow us to welcome a new intake of refugees every quarter.
During our Refugee Run Club, Refugees are invited to join an eight week coaching programme which includes a running shirt, a hosted 5k parkrun on day one and eight weeks of personalised coaching through our Coopah training app. It culminates in a second ParkRun at the end of the eight weeks to track their improvement.
Each week, the academy meets virtually to share their progress, discuss openly how they are feeling and get tips from a range of running experts. Once the programme ends, Coopah provides every graduate with a lifetime coaching subscription so they can continue to use the power of running to help them be fit, happy and make the most of their lives.
We’re on a mission to inspire 10 million runners.
Okay so bare with me on this one, I know right now you probably can’t even see past marathon day, but over the next few weeks I am going to be sharing tips on how to taper like a pro, how to approach race week and ultimately ensure you have the best day on Sunday 27th April, but I wanted to cover this too, as it is a topic that isn’t spoken about enough but is something that can affect a lot of runners, whether its your first marathon, or your 50th.
