GOT QUESTIONS?

  • Earned Not Given is open to anybody who has a 10km, half marathon or marathon race planned in the coming months. They just need to set a goal, train hard, and go beat that goal on race day. Do that and you’re in with a shot.

  • When you set up your coaching plan in Coopah you’ll set a target time. We craft your training programme from this goal. Post event, you enter your race time in app. If you beat your goal and you’ve registered for the competition then you’ll go into our draw for the Cape Town 2026 bibs.

  • From everybody that is confirmed to have signed up for the challenge and beaten their goal for their race, we’ll randomly select three runners to take with us to Cape Town.

  • Everybody’s running ambitions are different. But goal sand-baggers beware. We’ll do our due diligence before announcing the winners.

  • The winners will run the 2026 edition of the Cape Town Marathon which is scheduled for Sunday 24th May 2026.

  • 10km, half marathon or marathon distances. Your run must also be an organised, chip-timed event i.e. not just a training run.

  • We salute the ambition. Just set yourself what you believe is a challenging but achievable goal based on your recent running performance and enter that as your goal time.

  • Yes. Your qualifying race must take place between 1st July 2025 and 2nd November 2025 inclusive.

  • We’ll announce the winners by Thursday 13th November 2025 latest. After all, they’ve a marathon to train for.
