London Marathon - Train for a marathon in 16 weekS

We are just 16 weeks away from the TCS London Marathon 2023!

Many of you have already signed up to Coopah and started your marathon training, whilst others may be starting very soon. Coopah creates a personalised marathon plan so you have all you need via the Coopah app to get marathon ready!

At Coopah, we recommend to start marathon training 16 - 20 weeks ahead of Marathon Day. In this blog we will cover what you should expect from Coopah’s personalised marathon plans and how to set up your marathon training plan on the Coopah App.

Marathon Training with Coopah, what to expect?

Are you wondering what your marathon training will look like when you join Coopah?

Using Coopah, you no longer have to worry about whether your running mileage is too much or too little. Coopah will provide you with a personalised marathon training plan so you do not have to worry about the math and enjoy the journey! Each plan is created with the individual runner in mind.

Our training plans are specific to your running experience, event date and goal time, so depending on your current running experience and your marathon goal, your training plan will adapt. And if you need to miss a few sessions, your training plan can be updated so you can stay on track.

Each plan includes a wide range of tempo runs, interval runs, steady runs, easy runs and long runs to name a few. Coopah breaks down each of your sessions into warm-up, main training and cool down and provides you with the pace you should be aiming for on every session, whether is it your easy run, tempo run or your long run in order to achieve your marathon target time so you no longer have to guess.

During your training plan, we will gradually build in runs at your goal pace so when marathon day arrives, you can be confident on the start line that you can run your marathon at the pace you set out to do all those weeks ago. Our plans have built in taper weeks ahead of marathon day so your body and mind will be ready to take on the TCS London Marathon come 26th April 2023!

Does Coopah provide Yoga Classes and Strength and Conditioning sessions?

Yes, when marathon training with Coopah, you get weekly yoga sessions and Strength and Conditioning sessions. This will reduce your risk of injury and make you an even stronger runner!
